How to book Trevarrow Cottage

Thank you for deciding to take your holiday at Trevarrow.
Booking Trevarrow Cottage for your holidays is simple, the notes below explain how:

1. Telephone Raymond or Iris White on 01736 850 649 (International +44 1736 850649) and check the availability & price of the dates you require.

2. Make a verbal reservation whilst checking availability, we will hold a verbal reservation for 5 working days.

3. We will send you a Booking Form, which you need to complete and return along with a cheque for the deposit. If you are booking less than 42 days before the start of your holiday you will be required to send a cheque for the full amount including the Security Deposit of £40 for the first week plus £20 for each subsequent week. [You may book using a Visa card, however we charge a premium of 3%.]

4. You will receive a Statement of Account confirming your booking by return. This shows the full balance and when it is due.

5. When due, send the final payment along with the remittance tear-off from the Statement of Account.

6. Approximately 7 days before the commencement of your stay a door key and travel directions will be sent to you.

Lets run from Friday to Friday unless otherwise stated. Trevarrow Cottage will be ready at 3:00pm on the first day of the Tenancy and MUST be vacated by 10:00am on the day of departure.

Special Note for International customers:-
Many of our international customers choose to pay by Visa or Mastercard as our 3% surcharge is less than many banks charge for international money transfers.

Arriving. The Cottage will be available from 3:00pm on the first day of your stay. Please take good care of the Cottage and secure it as appropriate.

Excess Cleaning Charges. Please leave the Cottage in the same condition as you found it. You are expected to generally tidy, vacuum and clean the Cottage before leaving.

Leaving. It is important that you vacate the Cottage by 10:00am as our staff arrive promptly on the final day of your stay to prepare it for the next tenant.

Returning the key. When you leave, ensure that all doors and windows are secured. Drop the front door key back through the letter box. Note: a charge of £10=00 may be levied if the door key is not returned.

Bed Linen. Bed linen is supplied, but remember to bring your own towels and cot linen.

Parking. Public parking is available at one of three car parks in Coverack and time limited parking is available on the road.  Puffin has a private parking area for two cars which is located on the top terrace of the garden opposite the cottage. 

 

 

 

BOOKING CONDITIONS

Reservations for accommodation are accepted by Raymond and Iris White (the "Owners") of Little Pengwedna Farm, Helston, Cornwall from the "Hirer" (as stated on the "Booking Form") on the following terms and conditions:

1. Deposit. A deposit for one third of the total Rent ("Rent" is as stated in the table opposite entitled: "Weekly Rents 2004" or as otherwise agreed in writing with the Owners) due must accompany a completed Booking Forms. If the booking is made less than 42 days before the start of the Tenancy the total Rent and any other additional charges (including Security Deposit) are due at the time of booking.

2. Final Payment. Once the Booking Form is received and accepted by the Owners the Hirer is liable for payment of the balance of the Rent plus any other additional charges (including Security Deposit) at least 42 days before the start of the Tenancy. The Owners reserve the right to treat non payment of the balance of the Rent by the due date as a Cancellation and re-let the Cottage if possible, the Hirer remains liable for the balance of the Rent.

3. Security Deposit. The Hirer must deposit a Security Deposit, of £40.00 for the first week plus £20 for each subsequent week, with the Owners to cover: electricity charges, losses, damages and additional cleaning charges if the Cottage is left in an unsatisfactory condition. The Security Deposit does not limit the Hirers liability to such charges. The balance is normally returned within 3 weeks after the end of the Let.

4. Linen. Bed linen is provided. Towels, tea towels and cot linen are not provided.

5. Hirers’ Obligations. The Hirers agree:

* To pay for all electricity, telephone and fuel charges incurred during the Tenancy.

* To take good care of the Cottage and leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the Tenancy.

* To pay for any losses or damages to the Cottage however caused.

* To report any damages to the Owners before vacating the property.

* To permit the Owners or the Owners staff reasonable access to the property.

* Not to part possession of the Cottage or share it except with members of the Hirers Party.

* Not to exceed the total number of people stipulated in the Cottage description.

* Not to cause an annoyance or nuisance to occupants of adjoining properties.

* Not to exceed the number of cars stated in the Cottage description.

6. Duration of the Let. Lettings are for a maximum of four weeks and commence at 3:00pm on the first day of the Tenancy and end at 10:00am on the day of departure. The period of the Tenancy can not be exceeded unless written approval from the Owners is obtained and the Hirer will be liable for any additional costs incurred. Lets run from Saturday to Saturday unless otherwise stated.

7. The Tenancy. The Tenancy confers upon the Hirer the right to occupy the Cottage for the purpose of a family holiday during the period specified overleaf on this the Booking Form. The Hirer may not sub-let or transfer the Tenancy. Reference section 9 of the Rent Act 1977.

8. Pets. Prior consent must be obtained for pets. The Hirer is responsible for any damage caused by pets.

9. Cancellation. The Rent does not include a holiday Cancellation Protection Insurance premium, the Owners strongly recommend that the Hirer considers arranging such insurance. Details of a suitable policy are available on request. The Hirer must notify the Owners in writing of any Cancellations. The Hirer remains liable for the payment of the balance of the Rent on the due date. The Owners will endeavour to re-let the Cottage and if successful will refund any money paid less any losses and expenses incurred while re-letting the Cottage. The Rent at which the Cottage is re-let is at the Owners discretion.

10. Method of Payment. All cheques should be made payable to: Raymond & Iris White. The Hirer is liable for any fees charged by our bank for dishonoured cheques or other costs attributable to the Hirers negligence.

11. Specification and Price changes. The Owners reserve the right to change the specification of the Cottage without notice to the Hirer. The Owners reserve the right to vary the Rent due to unforeseen economic conditions. The Owners reserves the right to amend any published details due to changes, errors or omissions.

12. Authority to Sign. The signatory of the Booking Form (referred to as the "Hirer") certifies that he or she is authorised to agree to the Booking Conditions on behalf of all persons occupying the Cottage during the Tenancy (referred to as the "Party"). The signatory must be a member of the Party occupying the Cottage during the Tenancy and over the age of eighteen years.

13. Non-availability of the Cottage. If for any reason the Cottage is not available for the Tenancy the Owners reserve the right to fully refund any Rent and additional charges paid to the Owners by the Hirer. The Hirer will have no further claim against the Owners.

14. Previous Conditions. These Booking Conditions supersede all other issues.

15. Storage of information. The Hirer agrees to allow the Owners to store and transmit information relating to this agreement in any form, including electronic and computer form.

16. Liability. The Owners do not accept liability for any act, neglect or default on the part of any person, nor for any accident, damage, loss, injury, expense or inconvenience whether to person or property which the Hirer or any member the Hirers Party may suffer arising out of or in connection with the holiday or resulting from any cause whatsoever.

17. Applicable Law. This agreement shall be governed by the Laws of England.
